About Us
What is Pagan Pride?
SAN DIEGO PAGAN PRIDE is part of The International Pagan Pride Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to the elimination of prejudice and religious discrimination through education, activism,
charity, and community.
Pagan Pride Day celebrations are held annually around the world within a few weeks either side of the Autumnal Equinox. Visit the National Pagan Pride website at www.paganpride.org.
San Diego has hosted its own Pagan Pride Day festival every year since 2003, thanks to the efforts of the team's volunteers. The festival is open to everyone -- not just Pagans -- and is free to
attend. Featured are lectures, workshops, entertainment, food, wares, and public neo-pagan rituals celebrating the Autumn Equinox. There is plenty of room for picnicking, games, schmoozing, and
hanging out.
At the Pagan Pride festival we collect donations for our charities in our effort to support the community.
Pagan Pride is non-denominational. By that we mean only that as a non-profit organization, San Diego Pagan Pride strives to treat each Pagan or Neo-Pagan tradition with equal measures of respect.
That includes the ones we don't know so well. By "Pagan", we mean to include Wiccans, Ásatrúar, Druids, Heathens, Shamans, eclectics, witches, and various other traditions. We try to create a
welcoming environment to all who come in peace.
Fostering pride in Pagan Identity
through education, activism, charity and community.
